Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) has recently elected its 4th Executive Committee. Suhas Suresh Shetye from NCAOR was elected to APECS 2010-11 Ex-Com and would be representing India. Presently, Suhas is working as Research Scientist in NCAOR, under the project Diatoms for Deciphering Polar Environmental Changes. His research interest includes Carbon Dynamics including pCO2 measurements, Impacts of Ocean Acidification on calcareous organisms, Nutrient dynamics, Saturation of Southern Ocean with CO2, paleoclimatic studies using foraminifera and diatoms.
