Indo-Norwegian meeting on Scientific Cooperation and Collaboration  at NCAOR, Goa


 

A two-day meeting of scientists from India and Norway was held at NCAOR, Goa on 22nd & 23rd October 2011 to identify the possible areas of scientific collaboration in Arctic and Antarctic. The programs identified include co-operation in geological mapping in the western Dronning Maud Land, study of Aerosol and precipitation in the Arctic, Cryospheric studies in the Himalaya as well as in the two polar regions, and deployment of a multi-sensor mooring system in the Kongsfjorden.

The Norwegian delegation was headed by Dr Kim Holmen, Research Director, Norwegian Polar Research Institute.
